This is week #1 trying to cut back on the meat consumption. I have planned out 6 meals, only 2 of which have meat. Sure made grocery shopping easier! :)
Here's my weekly menu... without assigned days... 'cos I like a bit of flexibility.
- bruschetta pasta w/ garden salad
- hamburgers w/ home fries and salad
- veggie ragu (sans pasta) w/ garlic bread
- pineapple bbq chicken w/ rice & brussel sprout
- egg muffin sandwiches w/ hash browns & fruit salad
- rice & bean bowls w/ avocado & cilantro
(I should also note that we usually have some sort of fruit with every meal, be it berries, melons or just applesauce.)
So... I'll let you know how it goes!
Anyone else making any changes in their grocery shopping in light of the rising costs?
