I Don't Know What I Am Doing, But I Am Having Fun Doing It

So, I have like 739 gazillion photos of Jaron sitting on my computer. (Not photos of him literally sitting on the computer, but photos of him stored on the computer... oh, never mind, you know what I mean.) I pretty much take my camera every where I go. I'm snap happy. I'm a shutterbug momma. A photo phreak.

You get the picture.

(Ha, get the "picture"! I crack myself up!)

Anyway, I think I have made my point- I take a ton of photos. And why not take a ton of pictures when the subject is as cute as my baby?!?

Lately I have been playing around with those pictures in Photoshop. I have no clue what I am doing. I just play with some levels here, adjust the shadow there and Voila! it's a whole new look.

Here's my new favorite photo. It looks a little blah as is, though the lighting is a good start.

Here it is with an"antiqued" look after a bit of tweaking.

The best part about Photoshop is I can change the photo a hundred different ways until I find a look I love.

Gives me something to do on a snowy, Friday night.

Happy Weekend, Y'all!

is it just me....

or does anyone else have to swipe their deoderant on the same amount of times under each arm?

Just curious... ya know... I'm sort of OCD about this and I am convinced, it's not just me.

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

I'm a Pepper, You're a Pepper...

One of my greatest achivements for the 2005 year was giving up caffeine. (I was never a big fan of coffee, Dr. Pepper was my drink of choice.) Death by Caffeine reminds me why that was good decision.

Thanks to Don't Call Me Veronica, another entertaining site you should check out, for pointing me in the direction of this caffeine crazed site.

Pop the top, listen to the sizzle and enjoy!

Molly the Cow

I stumbled across a rather amusing article about a special cow who escaped from the slaughterhouse. If you have a few minutes, you have to read the story. It made me laugh so hard.

Did You Know...

... that a person standing on the equator and riding the earth around as it revolves moves at a speed of 1,040 miles per hour?

... that some scientists have concluded that the earth is shaped more like a pear than a grapefruit?

Random, I know. I'm doing this continuing-ed thing for work and I just read those tid-bits. The pear thing is blowing my mind right now. We live on a pear? Huh?

Why...

... do we press harder on a remote control when we know the
batteries are getting weak?

... does someone believe you when you say there are four billion
stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?

... doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

... do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

... is there an "S" in the word "lisp"?

... if people evolved from apes, are there still apes?

... is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the
bubbles are always white?

... is there never a day that mattresses are not on sale?

... do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes
that something new to eat will have materialized?

... do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their
vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it
down to give the vacuum one more chance?

... is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your
first try?

... when we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a
shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all
right." Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, "That hurt you stupid
idiot?"

Thanks to Becca for sending this one to me. Some of these hit just a little to close to home! :)

Ode to Sunshine

UPDATE 10/25/05: It's raining again. And it's cold and dark and dreary. And the weatherman says we might see snow today. And so it beings...

UPDATE: We have sunshine!! Yea! And the weather man said sun for tomorrow too! Praise the Lord!!!

For those of you who are in the same boat as Vermont and have not seen the sun in quite some time (going on 15 days here) I thought I would try and give you a little lift. Here are some pictures of sunshine...

But wait! Don't get too excited, here's what we have to look forward to!
5 months of winter. Oh joy...
