On Obedience

I think that the secret to living a fulfilled life, one that overflows with good things, is obedience. I must take up my cross and deny my life so that Christ might live in/through me. This requires obedience. My life cannot progress beyond the shallow and insignificant, into the depths of grace and wisdom, without obedience. And the good I have from Him won’t mean as much without the times of struggle.

My God is sovereign. In His hands sits the world, His world, His creation. And He’s not like a small child who builds just to destroy. I am His workmanship. His art.

Good things for me are the desires of His heart, but obedience is required. And my obedience is a direct reflection of my love for Him.
